The Word on Workout Wednesday

Updated: Oct 3, 2018

Every Wednesday, all PE classes participate in “Workout Wednesday,” designed to get kids moving and give them a great workout for the week.

Freshmen Megan Luck said, “It is an intense workout that we do as a class, that works you more than the other days.”

Freshman Tallulah Sullivan added to that explanation, “We work on all the muscles in the body and try to stay moving the entire time.”

People always love a good challenge and Workout Wednesday is sure to offer that challenge. It provides an opportunity for students to push themselves and see what their truly capable of doing.

Freshmen Aiden Thornton said, “I like that it gives me a challenge for the week and keeps me moving.”

Workout Wednesday is no doubt a great thing, being that it provides a great workout and helps to get you into shape and start to build muscle, but maybe to some people it is not all that enjoyable and rewarding.

Freshmen Robby said, “Well, I just find it a little repetitive at times. I mean, I can do the workouts, and it’s not like it’s truly hard. At least for me that is.”

As freshmen, we are still getting used to the fact that every single Wednesday we will be faced with a challenging exercise that in the end, will result in a positive way. While talking with senior Jasmine Macias, she had some very good and motivational advice to pass along to freshmen adjusting to workout Wednesday.

“Do something today that your future self will thank you for,” Macias said, “and always persevere when faced with challenges.”
